Green Beauty Empties January 2018

Hi Lovelies,

Green Beauty Empties Jan 2018

*Please note that Blogger uses cookies and I am obliged to let you know.

How are you all doing? Hope all is well and no one is sick? I am so fed with winter, I can't even tell you, but I think that's all of us, right? Spring and summer, hurry up please!
As I mentioned in my Shop My Stash #4 blog post,  after much of mulling over it, I have decided to skip my November and December Empties posts, because in the December there seemed no good time to fit in Empties posts when all of us were doing all sorts of festive and fun stuff in the run up to Christmas; so talking about my rubbish, seemed well, rubbish! Then the January went by like a blur, and now I find myself with January empties to talk about, and too much of a hassle to catch up on those two missed months. So I have decided to wipe the slate clean and start again with January and leave the last year's rubbish in the last year. I hope you won't mind? It's not that I am obliged to talk of them, it's probably just me putting unnecessary pressure on myself. I am in the habit of putting those kinds of posts out by now, and every time I think of typing 3k+ words for something I'd finished ages ago, seemed like a chore I kept putting off like forever. So let's make a deal, I will put a pictures at the end of this post, and if there will be a product you will want my feedback on, you will ask about it ok? December only, as I seem to have deleted November's photo already. Whoops! I always answer questions about products on my social media anyways. And I have decided to stop talking about samples, especially sachet samples - it is too much of typing for uncertain reasons. I wouldn't mind if I had extra time on my hands, but I don't, so something has to give. I am very glad my blog keeps growing and growing at a steady pace (steady, because I don't buy followers and never will) but it also means it is becoming more like a full time job without the pay. I am most likely to be checking emails at 7am and answering people's requests for recommending products via DMs at 11pm. I think I need to manage my time better. And I need to think about the empties posts too, not feeling them at the moment, but I also think it is important to show that products I really use and review are the same products. So, shall we start for this month?

Mahalo Balm

Original review on some Mahalo goodies can be found here, and I have to be honest, although I loved this product, I haven't repurchased it, and here is why - I found Rare Indigo balm so much better for my dermatitis prone skin, so I went on to invest in a full size of it, despite the fact it has less product for more money. If you have no skin issues and are looking for a fantastic artisan balm, this might be the one for you. But please try to obtain a sample first, as Mahalo is a pricy brand, out of my budget if I am honest, and that's why I only invested in one of the products and not all. I'll get all off them the minute I will come into money, haha!

Rahua Voluminous Shampoo

It was a sad day when I ran out of this amazing shampoo! Easily one of the best natural shampoos I have tried to date, it has made it into my 2017 Favourites, and definitely the one for repurchasing. Review & link to it if you are curious. Another pricy product, not going to lie, but after trying so many natural shampoos that just don't work (and thus having many years of bad hair days) I am ready to drop the cash on it. And hide it from my family. What? That's parenting done right as far as I am concerned :)

Dafna Personalised Skincare Velvet Glow Facial Mist

Absolutely gorgeous gift from Dafna herself, along her Nutrition Night Cream, which I am yet to try. Review to come in a few weeks. Thanks Dafna, I really appreciate it. Really gorgeous natural ingredients, no less. Will come back to this.

Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Hand Cream

A favourite for years, this is probably the third tube of it I've used. NYR has a special place in my heart, and I intend to blog so much more about them, but never get around to doing it, and that's a shame on my part. I really enjoy numerous products from this brand, and I love the fact they have everything! And I mean everything - from skincare to make up, to supplements to essential oils too - one stop shop for everything, and all natural too. I am a customer for well over three years now and keep coming back. If you live in Ireland, UK, France or Germany, you can shop my NYR page (if you want to, of course, no hard push) and all my green beauty sistas from other countries, seek out a rep in your area. One little tip from me, check out their Thyme Cough Syrup - the only thing that works for my family, so so good! Organic too! I stock up every winter.

Wabi Sabi Botanicals Akaliko Facial Oil

So sad for two reasons - firstly, this product was so good, and stupidly I let it sit for too long, and it expired on me! I bought it of someone from Instagram, and I was assured it was fresh, but when I came to use it, it smelled too much like vegetable oil, a surefire way to tell it has gone off. The very few times I used it a couple of months back, I adored it, and it seemed so good for my sensitive skin, it seemed so much brighter and plump and soft. Even my dermatitis patch showed no reactions, which is very rare. Silly me for savouring and saving it! Second reason I am sad is because the brand seems to have scraped all the products they had before and came out with the whole new like of them, which seems a bit odd to me, but there is nothing I can do about it either. Seems like I will have to scrap my review of their products too, as I still have and use their Budhi Eye Nectar, as well as cleansing grains and a toner mist. No point of putting together a review of product that neither you nor I will be able to repurchase.

Meadows Revitalising Face Serum

This is a facial oil from a new-and-coming Irish brand, and I intend to review it very soon, so stay tuned!

Balm Balm Organic Frankincense Hydrosol

This came from Love Lula Beauty Box, and I loved it a lot! Frankincense essential oil is a favourite in our house, and I was so curious about the hydrosol too. It is beautiful, and despite not loving the scent so much, I loved the effects of it. Given this is a brand of the Love Lula owners themselves and it is 100% organic, I can be sure it is a best quality there is. Definitely repurchasing it. Get it from Love Lula or Balm Balm

                                  Wellness Empties:

Green Beauty Wellness Empties

Terra Nova Cordyceps

Manuka Honey 250ml (not pictured)

A.Vogel Echinaforce Cold & Flu Oral Drops

Sambucol for kids

Magnesium Oil DIY in a recycled NYR bottle

Tangerine essential oil

 Revitin Toothpaste

I talk about everything apart Revitin prebiotic toothpaste in my old post called "My Natural Arsenal Against Cold & Flu" - you might want to check it out for some other natural remedies and homeopathic remedies I always have a hand in winters. Delightfully bad pictures too, only showing my blogger struggles in winters sans proper sunlight. Cordyceps is a new addition, but seeing how well it helps me not to get sick, I intend to keep it up.
Tangerine oil was bought from Holland & Barrett, but I will get it from my Neal's Yard Remedies shop next. Revitin toothpaste review will be out soon.

Natural & Organic Empties

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave them down below. I feel freed by my decision not blog about every sample that comes my way, because for one, you can imagine how much time it takes, for two, if I haven't invested in a full size, what's the point, right?

What have you finished lately? I want to know!

Dutch Health Store Online Store Review

Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back!  And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕

Dutch Health Store Review

livinglibations.store

Today, let me draw your attention to another wonderful online shop in Europe, Dutch Health Store, who also go by the livinglibations.store name on social media. Living Libations fans, rejoice! Especially if you are from Europe, as this means that you can enjoy Living Libations products sans (high and annoying) custom charges. And let me tell you, the owner, Wilma carries the biggest selection of LL products in Europe, unlike some other stores that focus on selected Best Skin Ever only. I certainly did a happy dance when I discovered this. Here, you can find anything your heart desires from this brand, essential oils, dental care, body care, sun care, haircare, and even deodorants called Poetic Pits. I didn't compare this selection to the one on Living Libations own website, but I feel I can get any product I can think of. Dutch Health Store also carries some good quality supplements, their own brand probiotics and even next level raw chocolate! Although I am yet to try the Poetic Pits, these and the dental products were the draw for me, and as soon as I discovered they are available from within EU via Dutch Health Store, I immediately placed an order.
More on that in just a second, let's go back to talking about Dutch Health Store as a whole. I wanted to start my blog post with their story, but the information on their social media is sparse, so I asked Wilma to tell me a bit about her, and how her wonderful online shop has started, and she responded within a couple of hours. Here's what she said:

My name is Wilma Beuving, age 53 and (together with a friend, Dries van der Wijk) the owner and founder of Dutch Health Store.

I have studied herbal medicine, I am also a clinical psychoneuroimmunology therapist.

Grown up as a farmer’s daughter in the countryside, I have learned from my early youth by my (grand)parents what nature and our earth had to offer and I became a great respect for it.
I love working with plants! Very much.

Because of these interests, over the past years, I have changed my lifestyle to get closer to nature.
Essential oils, ecological – biological gardening, raw food, be aware of what I add to my skin and body, fair trade products, for me it's a great and beautiful discovery tour.
A tour I will never end because it's the way I want to live.
I live, together with my husband and 3 cats (ragdolls), still in the countryside.
We grew our own vegetables, I use a lot of herbs (and weeds...;-) ) in all kinds of food and in skin/body care.
It’s our way of living and we like it!

Many years ago I discovered Living Libations.
It was very difficult to find a brand who didn't add some bad stuff in their products and with the right vision.
First I became a private customer and after a while, we (= Dutch Health Store) started to sell their products in the Netherlands and International, because it was very difficult to find their products anywhere than in Canada.

Our vision is not to sell a lot of products of a lot of brands, no, we just want to corporate with just a few brands, (since a few months new; Isun skincare and Delizioso skincare) with the right vision, who have luxury, natural and eco-friendly products who makes our customers (you) happy!
And, important for us, the brand has to make their products with love and passion and I have to feel love and passion for their products.

Personal customer care is an important issue for our company, we took it very seriously!
Because our customers are the most important part of our shop, without them we can't exist and without them, I don't know what their needs are.

Receiving and unpacking a parcel with products of Dutch health Store must be a (little) party.
We take care of the whole process, each parcel is packed with love and care.
I treat our customers like I would be treated yourself; with respect.

Our plan/goal is :
To get as many people as possible to get acquainted with healthy, fair products which in no way harmful to health.
Products with the right vision; who make everyone really happy!

In the Netherlands, Europe and International.
...
I have to say I second every word on her taking her customer as her top priority - I experienced that first hand with my first order. As soon as I got the email confirmation, I noticed my address was incorrect, someone on their end has omitted one crucial line from it, and I let Wilma know that. Even though the order has already left their premises by then, Wilma went out of her way to help, and we exchanged 27 emails before the order safely reached my hands. Now, how's that for the customer service? I don't know about you, but I haven't experienced anything on this level before! And it made me feel very appreciated as a customer, something you don't get much. I loved every single product I have tried from this shop, and I know I will be back.
*A little edit a couple of hours later - that dramatic first delivery happened to me as private person, not as a blogger, and I thought it is worth mentioning. I ordered and paid with my own money as a private person, and at that point Wilma didn't even know I am a blogger, so she was helping a me as a regular customer, you know what I mean?

Now, Dutch Health Store does not only carry Living Libations products only, they have very well curated selection. The brands are not abundant, but even so, when it comes to the products, you will be spoiled for choice. From looking around I know you could get everything your heart desires all under one (online shop) roof. And only the best quality will do! Wilma has a very strict requirement for both products and the brands, and you can be assured you are getting the most natural and the best there is. No greenwashing here of any sort. As I already mentioned, you can find brands such as Living Libations, ISUN Skincare, Shaman Shack Herbs, Na'avi Organics, Delicioso Skincare and a few more like Revitin, DrThungs & Be In Blossom. See this Facebook album for all the Dutch Health Store products review I have to date.
I find there are many different levels of green beauty, and this is the top level, if you are a purist, and only the best natural products will do, this is for you.

Terra Nova Vitamin D

You can read my thoughts on Living Libations dental products in my Holistic Dental Care Routine here and review of True Blue Spirulina Shampoo here. I also am a big fan of Terra Nova supplements as it is something I use for a couple of years now. This is one of the few brands I trust to be natural and not to have unnecessary fillers. Vitamin D I find excellent, and I stress the importance of taking it, for all of us - we all need it. Most people think that we get enough of it from the sun, and supplementing is needed only for babies, when nothing could be further from the truth. Most of us also don't know that it is not only a vitamin, but also a hormone, needed for more than 300 body functions daily. And more than 75% of us don't get nearly enough of it. As soon as I started taking it regularly, I noticed my SAD is not as bad as it used to be, and now I make sure I take it on a daily basis. *no longer carried by the shop.

Total Care - Probiotics from Dutch Health Store

Another wonderful thing Wilma is selling is her own brand probiotics, and having had a change to sample it, I can tell it is good stuff. Probiotics are very trendy topic right now, and it is a topic I could go on for hours and hours, in a nutshell I can say, if there's one thing you should do for your health, it's to take probiotics regularly. Leaky gut is no fun, and I didn't even know I had it, until my body literally erupted in dermatitis overnight. This is your best bet to protect your health.

Revitin Probiotic Toothpaste

One of the recent additions to Dutch Health Store is Revitin, a natural prebiotic toothpaste, created by a holistic dentist. I wanted it asap, and I was very curious to compare it to Living Libations toothpastes. Look out for the review of it in the near future. As well as the review of Wintergreen toothpaste by Living Libations, one of their newest releases.(both reviewed here). All I can say for now, is that I want them in the endless supply until I cease to exist! If you are after really clean dental products, this is the place you find them.

Wintergreen + Clean Living Libations Toothpaste

So there you have it, my post for today. Have you bought anything from Dutch Health Store? What was your experience and what product do you like the most from them? Tell me below, so I could add them to my wishlist 💕 See more DHS related reviews here.

My (not so) Minimal Black Friday Haul

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕

DrHauschka Exquisite Rose set

Hello Lovelies, first of all I wanted to thank every single one of you who read my blog, I really appreciate all of you! So if you are here, huge bear hugs and kisses! Uff, I have to be honest and tell you upfront, in a week's time I will disconnect from social media, not only because of the Christmas period, but also because my mom is flying over for a holiday with us. As we live in a different countries, I see her next to nothing, so I shall cherish that time she will be here, right?
So for those reasons I have to say that many of blog post I planned for December, will be published in January, as I am simply running out of time. Too much plans, too little time = super overwhelmed Renata, and that is only the blogging part of my life.
Anyway, let's have a look at what I bought in the Black Friday sales this year, shall we? After all, that is why you are all here. Err, before the BF sale started, I thought I will only get "essentials", and honest to God, I thought I did just that, but now that packages are nearly all here, I am thinking to myself "jeeez, woman, what have you done!!" Let me explain myself, and let me show you exactly what I did buy, in order that I bought them and then I can self bash myself later, as I will calculate my total with all of you together.. So far I applied head-in-the-sand method and didn't even added the totals yet. Insert sheepish grin here!

Sooo, my first purchase was a replacement of DrHauschka Rose Day Cream from Love Lula - as you might know, it is my Holy Grail Face Cream of the moment, and a constant repurchase. You can read my review here in the case you missed it. As you can see in the photo above, I chose a set called Exquisite Rose Gift Set, that is the same price as the cream, but it comes with two free sidekicks, both of them I am excited to try. It is still available in Love Lula Christmas shop.
I also included this set in my Love Lula gift guide here. Oh, and this set retails for £30.50, I saved 15% on it, which was the discount Love Lula had for the Black Friday.
Whoops, I totally forgot I added Living Nature Manuka Honey gel to my order at the last minute! Hehehe, finger slip! I am surely blaming finger slip if my husband asks! Shh, don't tell.

So the total for this order is £36.95, let's convert it to euros, and my total so far is 41.84€

Flying Wild Lip Balms - my Holy Grail for Winter

Flying Wild Frankincense & May Chang Honeybotter

Next I ordered a humongous tub of lovely body butter from one of my favourite Irish brands, Bees Flying Wild - it was my first body butter purchase this year, and I knew it will be amazing, as I liked all the products I tried from the brand so far - Arno uses only minimal and very natural ingredients, and it shows in the quality of products (see reviews here and here if you want to). Arno wasn't having any Black Friday sales, but I still wanted to order from him to support a local brand for Small Business Saturday. so that is exactly what I did. This giant tub of body butter (half a litre, no less!) was only 18.50€ and I got some of my favourite lip balms that actually stay on your lips, aka my winter saviours! No discounts as I mentioned previously, but I got two extra lip balms, so that is really appreciated!

Total for this order €29. Total so far 70.84€

green life in dublin
Inika Long Lash Mascara

Then the email from Inika popped into my inbox, and I simply couldn't resist their deal, so that's another 21£ or 23-24€ spent. Let me just say, watch this brand come next Friday, as they had amazing deals for four days where they were giving away full size stuff with the orders! The first day offer was free full size of their Long Lash mascara, and this is the more expensive one out of the two they carry. Inika mascara was the exact same thing I used since August, so technically I was due a new mascara, which was a catch for me. While I was mulling over should I get the mascara by itself or should I upgrade to one of their festive set with the mascara and the liquid liner for 25£, it sold out before my very own eyes, as did the cheaper mascara, so that simplified my choice (damn it though!) and I bought one mascara, and got one for free. Plus I got free shipping. Technically a score, but an impulse buy all the same.
Btw, I am due a Inika review, but it is one of those things I will carry over into the next year, as it will be one those huge blog posts, and it makes me tired already, even thinking about it, haha! I have like eight products to write about.
By the way, Love Lula is doing an amazing deal on Inika now, where you get two free eye brushes for any order above 30£, so if you guys want to, you can get the mascara and liquid eyeliner set I mentioned above, plus something else (it might be a sample kit to bump you up to 30£ limit)

Total for this order 21£ or 23.77€
Total so far 94.61€

Terra Nova Cordyceps

Then I started to get sick, and started thinking of the ways to boost my immune system fast, as we opened "sickness season" really early this year, and quite frankly, I am sick of feeling sick! Then I remembered one thing that really helped me to stay well while I was taking it, and that is cordyceps supplement. I have tried Terra Nova Cordyceps, Rhodiola and Ginseng from Love Lula before, and it really helped me. It was my first cordyceps product ever, but I felt it is one of those things that gives the effect immediately. But as that supplement was in powder, I went for capsules this time round (link here), and I bought two bottles instead of one. The instructions say take 1 to 3 a day, so I didn't want to order another bottle really soon. My plan is to start with 3 capsules and then decrease it afterwards. If you are more advanced when it comes to cordyceps and other medicinal mushrooms than me, please tell me more about it, what brands are the best, how long do you take it, what other mushrooms are good for immune system, I want to know it all.

I already lost the receipt for it, so please let me do the math here, 19.75£ x2, with 15% off is 33.6£, let's convert it to euros and you will get 38.05€

Total so far is 132.66€

Neals Yard Remedies order

If there was one thing I waited for on Black Friday, it was Neals Yard Remedies 20% off sale, but they did not have it until like the 8th of December or something. I wasn't keen on spending another hundred euros, and they never have free shipping, which bugs me to no end, but I needed to stock up on their amazing Organic Thyme Cough Syrup, which is like the only thing that works for coughs, I really love the fact that it is organic, and it is like only a couple of euros dearer than the nasty chemical stuff you get in pharmacies. I had three bottles of it from my previous order, thinking it will last me the whole winter, but as I mentioned earlier, we opened the sickeness season early this year. So I didn't mince my words this time, I got five, plus Elderberry and Propolis Throat Spray and some essential oils - eucalyptus, frankincense and myrrh, plus lemon for cleaning. Order happened to be delivered while I was working away on this blog post, so I was able to insert a photo, with some better pictures to follow for upcoming reviews :) They have an array or great skincare, bodycare and make up, plus their Christmas sets are second to none, but I didn't need any of those this time round, so I skipped it.
P.s. If you happen to live in UK, Ireland, Germany or France, you might shop or browse my NYR page?

Total for this order was 101.35€
Total spent 234.01€

So Natural Beauty Order

*Update a few weeks later. Umm, do you think I stopped there? Nope. I happened to be browsing IG and So Natural Beauty (fabulous Belgian online store) happened to be running a GWP offer that I deemed better than their BF sale, so I jumped in with both feet, and with order above 150€ I scored a full size of Leahlani Meli Glow and a free shipping. I finally got a full size of Mahalo Rare Indigo balm, a couple of soaps from Kopa Kaui (Hawaii brand that happens to be owned by Leah's of Leahlani mother) and a Calia shampoo, finally! I wanted to try it ever since Holistic Habits put it on the market for me a good few years ago. As you can also see in the photo, I also got a mini of Schmith's sensitive skin deodorant, but I am not sure I will go on to purchase the full size of it - in the case you don't know it, the brand just sold out to Unilever, and soon enough we will witness formulation and ingredients change for the worse, mark my word for it!
Expect reviews for everything in the 2018. In this case I am #sorrynotsorry for wasting another wad of cash - these were the products I needed and really wanted to try, plus the gift with purchase was too gorgeous to pass on! The mask smells gorgeous and I am so excited to dive into it! (unfortunately so is my 5yr old, I might have to hide it really soon, haha!)

Total for this order: 152€
Total total: 386.01!!!
Whaaat? Umm, if you will need me, I will be in the naughty corner until the next year.

So all in all, that is my Black Friday haul this year. I don't even know how much I saved, all I know I am a bit annoyed with myself for spending that much - it is not like someone threw a couple of hundred of euros in order for me to shop, isn't it?

What about you guys? What did you buy and are you happy with your purchases? Please let me know, I would love to see it all.

Natural & Organic Empties October 2017

Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕

Green Life In Dublin
Natural & Organic Empties October 2017

How are you all doing? Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous autumn and no one is getting sick yet? Well not quite the case in my casa I am afraid, since my 5yr old started school this year, it's been sickness season non stop so far. Hence you will see more health & wellness related empties, than beauty ones. Shall we start? In no particular order here are the products I'd finished and my honest thoughts on them. Good to be known for honesty.

Green Life In Dublin
Natural and Organic Empties

Greenfrog Botanic Soapberry Wash

This came in Love Lula October Beauty Box that I enjoyed so much I doubled it. And by that I mean I had an order since then which qualified me to a free box, so naturally I took it. I intend to keep this wash, eye shadow brush and the frankincense hydrosol for myself, as these were the hits in the box, for me personally anyway, and everything else I will gift to my mom, who is coming over for Christmas. You can read my thoughts on the Greenfrog Botanic products here. In short, these are really natural body and hand washes made from soapberries and organic aloe vera gel, I really feel comfortable using it on my kids, it's just the texture takes a bit of time to get used to.

Organii Strawberry Shower Gel

I have review on nearly everything in the line here, and I have another version of it in my shower already, but to be honest I am leaning towards to using soaps in the shower to minimise plastic waste, so after finishing this and the brand mentioned above, I won't be getting them for quite some. At lest that is the plan in my head. My family protest wildly against soaps in the shower, and are quick to buy non-natural product (I know, shock horror!) if they see no shower gels in the bathroom. I am facing an uphill struggle and I can't believe it. Have I taught them nothing over the years?!

DrOrganic Manuka Honey Conditioner

I've said this time and time again, and now it is out officially - DrOrganic is a greenwashing brand, pretending to be more natural than it is, and it is certainly not organic. This Manuka Honey conditioner used to be the only product I seemed to like from them, but the last two times I tried it after a long hiatus, I couldn't believe how limp and blah my hair looked - and I can't believe I used to like it! Has it gone bad on me or they changed the formula, I don't know, but it is a goodbye kiss from me. I am back to hair oils, which work so much better for me.

Simply Bee Honey Hand and Body Wash

This I got from Love Lula after reading ingredient list and deciding it is for me. It has great ingredients, honey and turmeric among others. But with all the due respect I have to say I won't be repurchasing it due to the reasons I talked above, plus it seemed to dry out my hands more than usual, and it ran out pretty quickly.

Skin & Tonic Calm Clean Balm

I have a good few products from this brand, and yet I am failing at getting the review out! I don't know if I will repurchase this cleansing balm, it is good at what it is supposed to do, it's just I don't enjoy the smell of it. I have far too many cleansers at the moment, plus I am dying to try Mahalo Unveil - can you believe I am yet to try that product, despite it being released like a year ago?

Ila Toning Body Wash

This 50ml I got as a freebie when I purchased DrAlkaitis Organic Soothing Gel in the summer time, but I couldn't even finish it. After initially not liking the product, or should I say the smell of it, I left it in the shower for the family to finish. When that didn't happen either, I poured it into the Simply Bee hand and body wash, and that instantly killed the nice smell of the product, but I will use it up regardless, but won't be repurchasing. I am not in the market for uber expensive shower gels, I am sorry. Can't comment on the firming action either, didn't see any difference in the few times I used it.

Wild Oregano Oil by Solgar

Wild Oregano oil is one of my Holy Grail products when it comes to all the things natural - it is a natural antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal product that also is antioxidant at the same time! I always get it in the liquid form to get more bang for my bucks, but after experiencing heartburn, I finally got soft gels. See my Top Three Natural Products post if you want to know more.
A repurchase? Heck yes! I haven't had antibiotics since discovering this, and I never want to be without it!

Sambucol for kids

Elderberry syrup for boosting kids immune system - another product in the heavy rotation in the fall and winter in my house. A constant repurchase.

Manuka Doctor Manuka Honey 12+

Despite being more expensive than regular honey, I always get manuka, and two jars at the same time if I can afford it, one for treating colds and coughs, and one for masking - see my Manuka Honey Masking post where I give you 12+ natural options for masking, all with the ingredients already found in your kitchen cabinet, as well as listing the benefits of all the ingredients - I worked really hard on that post!

Neals Yard Remedies Organic Honey & Thyme Syrup

This is the reason I am still keeping my consultant status with NYR (I should also mention I am my own one and only customer) - don't get me wrong, I enjoy their products too, but this cough syrup deserves Holy Grail status if you ask me! I find it brilliant at treating coughs when nothing else works, and the fact that it's organic is just music to my ears. I got three bottles thinking I am set for the whole winter time, but reality is we finished two of them by the end of October.. Umm, when it's the next NYR sale?? I need to stock up! Brilliant formula in my eyes, not only it does make any type of cough go away in a matter of days, but it is gentle and pleasant tasting enough for my youngster to take. I sooo wish this was available locally to me!
I will leave a link to my NYR shop if you want to have a look or purchase it down below? In my eyes it is a brilliant product, and I certainly will be touching on it in my upcoming  Natural Medicine Cabinet blog post, so keep an eye open for it, not sure it will be called that way though.

Terra Nova Cordyceps Rhodiola & Ginseng

This I got from Amazon, and it was my first ever cordyceps product. I am really impressed, it really boosted my immune system, and the effects were immediate. Terra Nova is great really clean vitamin and minerals company, I have had their multivitamins last year, and now I also own their antioxidants, all of them I would get again. The only thing to say is that I will look into getting this formula in the capsule form, as the powder tasted really bad. And I am used to taking bad tasting stuff, msm, oreganolP73, maca, anyone? This tops them all.

Aduna Baobab Powder

This I take for a natural vitamin C, as baobab is the the highest source for it. You get loads for a tenner, but being a powder it is a bit hard to take, and am yet to persuade my kids to take it on it's own (tastes pleasantly tart) but I sneak it in the smoothies, and they are no wiser. Definitely getting it again! So glad this superfood made it's way from Africa here. The only fruit to dry on the tree naturally before it is harvested thus retaining all the vitamins and nutrients intact - yes, I will take it, thank you very much!

So that is all for now, see you here very shortly! what have you finished lately and whether or not you will be repurchasing it?
