ISUN Skincare Sacred Aromablend

How are you all doing? Hope life is treating you well? Today I wanted to review something special from ISUN Skincare line, the line that quickly captured my heart and found it's way not only into my daily routine, but into Yearly Favourites as well, nothing less! I have reviewed a number of their products (you can find the links at the end of this post), and today I will share my thoughts on their natural Sacred Aroma Blend.


ISUN products have been consciously formulated to provide a ‘Quantum Healing Effect’ for total well-being – body, mind and spirit. This means, that beyond the obvious effects that support more youthful, balanced, radiant skin, ISUN skin care products also support overall physical and emotional health and well-being. There is a purpose in this. When we are better balanced physically, mentally and emotionally, our hearts are more open, we tend to feel better about ourselves and more loving with others. We are also more open to higher awareness which is often expressed in our thoughts, words and actions. In other words, it becomes easier to realise the Light that we truly are and to recognize the Light in others and all life. The core intention of providing a skin care product that can produce a positive healing effect for the overall body, mind & spirit, opens a pathway to fulfilling the ‘seed intention’ of ISUN as described above. A quantum healing effect that offers a sense of total well-being from a skincare product can only be fulfilled when the products meet the following criteria:

💕 They are created from inception with positive, clear intentions. 💕 They are made from pure, unadulterated, life and health-giving ingredients. 💕  They are made with living, high life-force ingredients.

To me, this is as good at it gets, I see ISUN products as ultimate organic products, even if the wildcrafted ingredients ISUN use, cannot be labeled as organic. Just think about it, wildcrafted ingredients are harvested from plants that grow freely in their natural habitat and have all the elements intact to fully flourish, as opposite to man grown plants, even if they are grown in organic soil. Think of the vibrations wild harvested plants have!
High vibrational ingredients will fill your skin and your whole being with beautiful energy, love and an exquisite harmony - aligning your cells, your tissues, your organs and your chakras with their perfectly balanced innate structure and rhythm. Even if you don't believe in energies, don't you feel better knowing you are getting the ultimately pure and concentrated ingredients in your products? I sure do and it makes my heart sing!

Now, let's look into Sacred Aromablend. When Tracey gave me free reign to choose products I would like to try, this product called my name, and upon hearing the ingredients you will soon understand why. Some of you may know I suffer from SAD and the last year was the hardest year of my life to date, so I really wanted to experience relaxing and mind elevating properties it promises. ISUN say their essential oils aroma blends stimulate the pineal gland (third eye) to support deep inner-mind relaxation and more easily flow into a meditative state. I must admit I am yet to master meditation (tried and failed many times, making my busy mind still proves to be a bigger challenge than I thought) so I simply used this aroma blend a few times a day to calm upcoming anxiety and center myself. You can apply it on pulse, energy or acupressure points including wrists, temples, ear lobes and other places. You can also diffuse it, something I am yet to do if I am honest. Shall we look into ingredients?


Santalum album (sandalwood) oil; Rosa centifolia (rose) flower extract; Boswellia sacra (frankincense) oil; Vetiveria zizanoides (vetiver) root oil; Opoponax (sweet myrrh) oil; Amyris balsamifera (amyris) bark oil; Eremophillia mitchellii (Buddha) wood oil 

Does it not make your heart sing? Knowing ISUN as a brand, I have no doubts all these ingredients are the best quality there is. It has calming and relaxing effect to it, like I expected it to. I have to say it is a great tool to help lift my mood and to dissolve anxiety - and I am so glad I have it in my life right now! Do I enjoy using it? Yes! Is it my favourite scent ever? No. If I were to use it as a perfume, I would want to add some sweet scent to it, vanilla maybe? Do I find it helps dissolve my anxiety and lifts my spirits? Absolutely! Smell is powerful and we shouldn't underestimate it. And on the verge of repeating myself like a broken record, let me just tell you that with ISUN you are getting the best quality product, every ingredient is their purest form. And I am so glad I am not breathing in chemicals, I am getting the purest essential oils, which work on a cellular level and help me to better balance myself  emotionally and spiritually. For those of you who meditate, this will help you to slip into the meditative phase more easily.

Let's look into some of the effects of those wonderful ingredients in this blend?

Sandalwood oil is widely utilized for its calming and relaxing effect It can be used for depression, daily stress and states of anxiety, fear or chronic illness. It has many uses in the skincare, as well as healthcare, but let's leave it for now. It aids in an increased  sense of calmness and greater mental clarity in your day to day life. Sandalwood essential oil can help you achieve more clarity and calmness due to its extensive therapeutic benefits. This special essential oil doesn’t just have an amazing scent, sandalwood can also have an effect on overall well-being and mental health, along with many other healing properties.
The 2006 study (source) found that although sandalwood was relaxing when smelled or rubbed on the skin, it did not promote drowsiness like lavender. Instead, it promoted what researchers referred to as a harmonious feeling, more of a present, clear, but calm awareness. It also boosts your concentration, as well as being all around tonic.

Rose centifolia flower extract (also known as a cabbage rose) is created through a simple process of steam distillation, has been used to treat health conditions and used in natural beauty treatments for thousands of years. Again, let's leave it health and skincare benefits aside for now (which are plentiful).

A perfect example of how beneficial Rose oil can be is seen in how it affects depression. As our ancestors battled situations where their mental status was dampened, or otherwise impaired, they would have been naturally drawn to the pleasant sights and smells of the flowers that surrounded them. I have never seen a person take a whiff of a powerful rose and not smile. And that's what we want! It also aids libido and hormone health. Acording to studies (source) it helps us relax. It is very important to tacle the stress as it comes I find, because left untreated it can cause an array of symptoms in the body (source) and that's the opposite of what we want. So it feels good to know that the effects of rose oil and extracts are science proven, and not just 'in our head'.

Frankincense (boswelia sacra) is a favourite of mine, and I can talk for hours about it!
This essential oil is regarded as a 'king of oils' for thousand of years, and used in aromatherapy that can offer a variety of health benefits, including helping relieve chronic stress and anxiety, reducing pain and inflammation, and boosting immunity. Again, it has many and many benefits for skincare and healtchare, including helping to fight cancer,but let's leave it for now - I urge you to do your own research in this matter, I am a strong advocate in being an informed consumer.
I believe that frankincense oil is one of the top essential oils you can use for your health. It's known for its comforting properties, and is useful for visualizing, improving one's spiritual connection and helping overcome stress and despair. In aromatherapy, frankincense oil is either inhaled or diffused via a vaporizer — a sedative that has been known to help induce a feeling of mental peace, relaxation and satisfaction, and helps relieve anxiety, anger and stress. And that's only a small part there is to it! Again, please do your own research on it - you will be glad you did!

All those befits, and we looked into three ingredients of it! Doesn't all that sound amazing? I am in awe of the power of nature - and I am so glad we can harness all those benefits from natural subtances like essential oils - I feel everyone should know about essential oils and what they can do for you. I myself am not an expert, but the more I find out abou them, the more I want to shout out from the rooftops :)

Today, let me draw your attention to another wonderful online shop in Europe, Dutch Health Store, who also go by the livinglibations.store name on social media. Living Libations fans, rejoice! Especially if you are from Europe, as this means that you can enjoy Living Libations products sans (high and annoying) custom charges. And let me tell you, the owner, Wilma carries the biggest selection of LL products in Europe, unlike some other stores that focus on selected Best Skin Ever only. I certainly did a happy dance when I discovered this. Here, you can find anything your heart desires from this brand, essential oils, dental care, body care, sun care, haircare, and even deodorants called Poetic Pits. I didn't compare this selection to the one on Living Libations own website, but I feel I can get any product I can think of. Dutch Health Store also carries some good quality supplements, their own brand probiotics and even next level raw chocolate! Although I am yet to try the Poetic Pits, these and the dental products were the draw for me, and as soon as I discovered they are available from within EU via Dutch Health Store, I immediately placed an order.
More on that in just a second, let's go back to talking about Dutch Health Store as a whole. I wanted to start my blog post with their story, but the information on their social media is sparse, so I asked Wilma to tell me a bit about her, and how her wonderful online shop has started, and she responded within a couple of hours. Here's what she said:

My name is Wilma Beuving, age 53 and (together with a friend, Dries van der Wijk) the owner and founder of Dutch Health Store.

I have studied herbal medicine, I am also a clinical psychoneuroimmunology therapist.

Grown up as a farmer’s daughter in the countryside, I have learned from my early youth by my (grand)parents what nature and our earth had to offer and I became a great respect for it.
I love working with plants! Very much.

Because of these interests, over the past years, I have changed my lifestyle to get closer to nature.
Essential oils, ecological – biological gardening, raw food, be aware of what I add to my skin and body, fair trade products, for me it's a great and beautiful discovery tour.
A tour I will never end because it's the way I want to live.
I live, together with my husband and 3 cats (ragdolls), still in the countryside.
We grew our own vegetables, I use a lot of herbs (and weeds...;-) ) in all kinds of food and in skin/body care.

Many years ago I discovered Living Libations.
It was very difficult to find a brand who didn't add some bad stuff in their products and with the right vision.
First I became a private customer and after a while, we (= Dutch Health Store) started to sell their products in the Netherlands and International, because it was very difficult to find their products anywhere than in Canada.

Our vision is not to sell a lot of products of a lot of brands, no, we just want to corporate with just a few brands, (since a few months new; Isun skincare and Delizioso skincare) with the right vision, who have luxury, natural and eco-friendly products who makes our customers (you) happy!
And, important for us, the brand has to make their products with love and passion and I have to feel love and passion for their products. 

Personal customer care is an important issue for our company, we took it very seriously!
Because our customers are the most important part of our shop, without them we can't exist and without them, I don't know what their needs are.

Receiving and unpacking a parcel with products of Dutch health Store must be a (little) party.
We take care of the whole process, each parcel is packed with love and care.
I treat our customers like I would be treated yourself; with respect.

Our plan/goal is :
To get as many people as possible to get acquainted with healthy, fair products which in no way harmful to health.
Products with the right vision; who make everyone really happy!

I have to say I second every word on her taking her customer as her top priority - I experienced that first hand with my first order. As soon as I got the email confirmation, I noticed my address was incorrect, someone on their end has omitted one crucial line from it, and I let Wilma know that. Even though the order has already left their premises by then, Wilma went out of her way to help, and we exchanged 27 emails before the order safely reached my hands. Now, how's that for the customer service? I don't know about you, but I haven't experienced anything on this level before! And it made me feel very appreciated as a customer, something you don't get much. I loved every single product I have tried from this shop, and I know I will be back.
*A little edit a couple of hours later - that dramatic first delivery happened to me as private person, not as a blogger, and I thought it is worth mentioning. I ordered and paid with my own money as a private person, and at that point Wilma didn't even know I am a blogger, so she was helping a me as a regular customer, you know what I mean?

Now, Dutch Health Store does not only carry Living Libations products only, they have very well curated selection. The brands are not abundant, but even so, when it comes to the products, you will be spoiled for choice. From looking around I know you could get everything your heart desires all under one (online shop) roof. And only the best quality will do! Wilma has a very strict requirement for both products and the brands, and you can be assured you are getting the most natural and the best there is. No greenwashing here of any sort. As I already mentioned, you can find brands such as Living Libations, ISUN Skincare, Shaman Shack Herbs, Na'avi Organics, Delicioso Skincare and a few more like Revitin, DrThungs & Be In Blossom. I find there are many different levels of green beauty, and this is the top level, if you are a purist, and only the best natural products will do, this is for you.

Terra Nova Vitamin D

You can read my thoughts on Living Libations dental products in my Holistic Dental Care Routine here and review of True Blue Spirulina Shampoo here. I also am a big fan of Terra Nova supplements as it is something I use for a couple of years now. This is one of the few brands I trust to be natural and not to have unnecessary fillers. Vitamin D I find excellent, and I stress the importance of taking it, for all of us - we all need it. Most people think that we get enough of it from the sun, and supplementing is needed only for babies, when nothing could be further from the truth. Most of us also don't know that it is not only a vitamin, but also a hormone, needed for more than 300 body functions daily. And more than 75% of us don't get nearly enough of it. As soon as I started taking it regularly, I noticed my SAD is not as bad as it used to be, and now I make sure I take it on a daily basis. *no longer carried by the shop.

Total Care - Probiotics from Dutch Health Store

Another wonderful thing Wilma is selling is her own brand probiotics, and having had a change to sample it, I can tell it is good stuff. Probiotics are very trendy topic right now, and it is a topic I could go on for hours and hours, in a nutshell I can say, if there's one thing you should do for your health, it's to take probiotics regularly. Leaky gut is no fun, and I didn't even know I had it, until my body literally erupted in dermatitis overnight. This is your best bet to protect your health. 

Revitin Probiotic Toothpaste

One of the recent additions to Dutch Health Store is Revitin, a natural prebiotic toothpaste, created by a holistic dentist. I wanted it asap, and I was very curious to compare it to Living Libations toothpastes. Look out for the review of it in the near future. As well as the review of Wintergreen toothpaste by Living Libations, one of their newest releases.(both reviewed here). All I can say for now, is that I want them in the endless supply until I cease to exist! If you are after really clean dental products, this is the place you find them.
