Natural Beauty Series - Meet Fiona from The Beauty Shortlist

Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕

Natural Beauty Series - meet Fiona Klonarides

How are all of You? I hope You are well? Continuing my Natural Beauty Series I am so excited to present my interview with fabulous beauty journalist Fiona Klonarides, who has years of experience in this business under her belt, and she hosts the The Beauty Shortlist Awards and The Beauty Shortlist Mama & Baby Awards - I am sure You all know about them and I don't need to explain any further. If You've been living under a rock (for the lack of the better expression), her website with all the info on the awards (green beauty ones, no less!) and a fabulous blog portion as well, is linked here. So without further ado, let's get down to business?

💕 I know exactly who You are, and I am a big fan, but would You mind introducing Yourself to those who might not know you?

Firstly, thanks for inviting me, Renata! The Beauty Shortlist kicked off in 2009, purely as a way for me to recommend genuinely good products to friends – everyone – and after our first Beauty Shortlist Awards in 2012, things got really busy and it grew pretty fast, simply and organically. We now do Baby Awards, as well, as you know! My background is music (industry) and communications (beauty). I'm very pro-green – life, beauty, food, everything. We live on a delicate planet, it’s our job to look after ourselves - and it.

💕 How has going natural and non toxic in your beauty regimen changed your overall health and beauty?

I never “went” natural, I’ve always been into organics, it wasn’t a decision. We eat our lipsticks and drink our skincare – I gave up meat when I was 13. It’s just healthier.

💕 Three things that make You happy?

Dogs – and dog-sitting when I get more time to write in beautiful homes with big organic gardens! – then travel keeps you interested, interesting and young, I think. Every day we wake up is a gift, so I’m grateful for that. And music.

💕 What is the best advice You've been given?

“It’ll be grand”, even if it isn’t sometimes. And my mum always says “just keep going”. I had a terrible year last year, personally, a lot of bad news, and I just kept going, it’s the only thing to do.

💕 What people inspire You?

Beauty: Jane Seymour and Susan Sarandon have the “ageing” thing nailed. People who I can learn from, who are wise, non-judgemental, who are immensely kind.

💕 What are Your three (or five) can't-live-without-it green beauty products?

This is an impossible question for someone who runs Awards!! Brands I particularly love are Neal’s Yard Remedies, Dr Hauschka, Weleda, Omorovicza, and MV Skincare (Australia) and ISUN (USA).

💕 Your best DIY recipe?

I don’t do DIY much but if you have nothing else around, a messy avocado mask or the ultimate multi-tasker, virgin coconut oil.

💕 What do You like and dislike about yourself?

Where do you start?!! Like: my honesty. I find it very hard to lie. I’m open, generous and very empathetic (which is a poisoned chalice!) Dislike: I absorb people’s energy all the time and it can be tiring, likewise I find big cities draining. I dread the arrival of 5G, it’s not good news for us. I’m terrible at admin.

💕 Your proudest achievement?

Travelling. Travel is the best education. More than my university degree, more than the fact that I speak a few languages. Getting out of a corporate, do-as-we-say office. That’s probably the second proudest. It took a while but it’s worth it.

💕 What are You currently reading?

I read about 4 books at the same time, dipping in and out – Super Brain by Deepak Chopra and Dr Rudi Tanzi is a must-read, and I’m re-reading The Olive Route by Carol Drinkwater. I’m loving Yogi Cameron’s The Yogi Code.

💕 What food do You like to cook/eat?

Huge Californian style salads with everything in them and a fantastic salad dressing…or grilled marinated fish with delicious baby veg on the side. Greek, Indian, Spanish, Chinese and Thai. I’m a Mediterranean diet eater, really.

💕 Tell us a secret!

“It’ll be grand” It’s a life-changer.

💕 Your guilty pleasure?

Popping bubble wrap with my feet when nobody’s around.

💕 Your top tips for being healthy and happy?

Have a passion. Keep learning, stay interested. Do what your GPS tells you to. Follow your heart with a bit of steering from your head. Eat well, sleep well, walk a lot and take in the greenery and colours of the flowers around you.

💕 What scents excite You?

I’m a citrus addict – all the grapefruits, mandarins, bergamots then on the other end of the scale, the deep velvety rose/oud blends, woody, grounding scents.

💕 What is Your mantra in life?

The Beauty Shortlist’s mantra is READ THE LABEL. I don’t really have an official mantra but it’s helpful to remember that even when things are s…t, life never stays the same and often the bad stuff is leading you to a better way of being. Keep going!!

💕 Favorite affirmation if You have one?

This is going to be ringing in my head by the time we’re done: It’ll be grand! (I love how the Irish say “grand”, it’s one of my favourite words).

💕 What's Your favorite beauty trend at the moment?

Hemp and CBD oil. Watch that space. Nobody’s really done much since The Body Shop launched the Hemp range about 20 years ago (products were seized by French police from one of their south of France stores, back then!) I like the “rebel/alternative” attitude of this trend.

💕 3 resources every girl needs..

Genuine friend(s), an illuminating foundation or tinted moisturiser and unwavering belief in yourself. Everything else will follow…

💕 Once a week for my health...

I don’t do this – but I’m starting this weekend! – a water fast.

💕 Crazy health idea that actually works?

Apple Cider Vinegar is one of my mainstays, it’s almost a cure-all. Coconut-pulling is brilliant. It removes bacteria and whitens teeth.

💕 What do You do to de-stress?

Take magnesium and meditate. I love Jason Stephenson’s guided sleep meditations, he’s brilliant for hotel rooms when the pillow’s too high or the neighbours are too loud.

💕 Last thing you do at night?

As above!

💕 A few words to Green Life In Dublin readers?

P.s. The two things, my interview with Fiona, and the Mama & Baby awards are totally unrelated, I have asked her for interview way before, and I had no idea I'd be selected to join her team at that time. Just thought I'd include this clarification.

Natural & Organic Empties - March & February 2018

Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back! And if you are new here, welcome 💕💕💕

green life in dublin
Natural and organic empties

How are all of you? I hope you are well?
Due to health struggles and generally feeling down, I will keep this post short if that's ok with you? I will touch on what products I will repurchase without going into too much details and ingredients, I usually like to do that, but not today. Empties posts feels more and more like a chore, and I have to force myself to do them, so not too sure how long I will keep them going on - I have no joyous feeling like I have writing all my other posts. But at the same time I feel it is important to show consistency, it is important for my readers to see that the products I use and review are the same products. So let's jump in, shall we?

By the way, products pictured are March Empties only, I have deleted the picture from February by accident.

March Empties:

Skin & Tonic Calm Clean for dry /sensitive skin
Was lovely to use, but due to owning too much products, not getting it anytime soon

Comvita Olive Leaf Extract
Couldn't stomach the taste (foul) so will look into capsules next

Fruu Lip Balm
Not too sure if repurchasing, too hard to apply & it does not last on the lips.

100%Pure Caffeine Sheet Mask
A pure gold, makes your skin red carpet ready. Hit search button for a review and a tip on how to last it 3x longer. Will repurchase.

Cordyceps by Terra Nova
A winner in my eyes, and constant repurchase from now on come winters - this boosted my immune system so much that I didn't get sick! I used to get sick 8 times before.

Ere Perez Concealer duo in Light
I have a review of this, and will get it again. For now I repurchased Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting concealer, which I also have a review on - it is my Holy Grail and I missed not having it. Have my eyes on Hiro Space Balms too. We will see.

Inika Long Lash Mascara
Amazing product, and that is all I use for more than 6 months! Due a review, and I repurchased it already.

Sambucol
The last one from the stash I've squirreled for winter, but I think I need a couple of more for spring too.

OreganolP73
Look for my Top Three Natural Products post where I talk more in detail about it, but let me just say I never want to be without it! Nature's antibiotics at it's best.

Sante Myrrh Tootpaste
This was only 3eu, which was a nice change for me - here in Ireland we pay around 8 and more for any kind of natural toothpastes. Having said that, this had too much of glycerine for me, I could really feel that coating in my mouth and had "furry" teeth in the mornings, so not repurchasing. Glad I had a chance to try it though.

Acure Smooth Shampoo
I was so excited to try it, thinking it would make a cheaper alternative to my beloved (but pricy) Rahua Voluminous Shampoo, but it was not meant to be - it gave me dandruff. Not a shortfall of the product, as 99% of shampoos do that. My family have finished it and asked for more. Amazing, they said.

Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Shower Gel
Amazing product, I love NYR shower gels - they last for months! And there's four of us! I would like to not repurchase, as I am keen to use soaps only, due to wanting to go zero waste, but my family are putting up a good fight. So we will see. A lot of NYR products are housed in glass, but not this one sadly.

February Empties:

Sand & Fog Goji Berry candle
Came from TKMaxx, the brand isn't available to me otherwise, so not going out
of my way to repurchase

Mahalo Rare Indigo Balm
Ammmaaazing! Holy Grail for my sensitive skin, have another jar already

Eco Body Wash with Jasmine, Lemon & Patchouli
TKMaxx purchase again - if I will see it there again, getting it

Calia Moisturising Shampoo
Mr. Green Life In Dublin finished it before I got a chance to
reach for it for a review, so I made him to buy ALL of their shampoos!
The boy had to learn his lesson, no?

Inner Senses Awakening Meditative Oil
I don't think I will be able to live without this again! Repurchased already.
Due a review soon. Just got their Sensual and Vitality body oils.

John Masters Organics Spearmint Shampoo & Citrus Detangler
Bought this before JMO sold out, so therefore it is old. Can't recommend
this brand due to changing formulations for the worse.

Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Budhi Awaken Eye Nectar
Loved this eye oil for a year and was going to put a review of four of their products
I own. But guess what? They discontinued everything and came out with a set of
brand new products - formulations, packaging, everything! I mean, huh?

Greenfrog Soap berry Body Wash
Really natural wash I enjoy and use on the kids

Cliff House Organics soap x2
I like my Dudu Osun soaps better, sorry

Jack & Jill Strawberry Toothpaste
Constant repurchase

Loved the fact it's organic, will looks into repurchasing come winter. For now, Mahalo
Rare Indigo is it for me

Sambucol
Again, a repurchase on the repeat.

That's it for today. What have you used up and repurchased recently, please share?

Renata.

Shopping My Green Beauty Stash #5 (April 2018)

Hi Lovelies,

Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕

green life in dublin
Shopping My Green Beauty Stash

How are all of You? Did You have a good Easter?

Today I want to talk about a few things I am using on the constant basis, and all of the things are coming from my own stash, no less! It isn't necessarily a Favourites post repeat, as not all of the things will be repurchased for various reasons. I will touch on those later in the post, of course.
This post features my absolute favourite skincare line of the moment, although I dread the day I will have to repurchase everything, not going to lie! The products are super duper amazing, but uber pricy, especially for stay-at-home-mommy like moi. Please step forward Bella Aura products! I almost wanted not to like these products as I knew about their price point, but they worked like magic, and thanks to them I have continuous good skin days! I ooghed and aaghed about them in my social media and in this review post, so I am not going to repeat myself all over again here (you know I am into super long posts when it comes to my reviews), but let me tell you a couple of things about Bella Aura - my sensitive skin found home! If it suited to uber-sensitive-and-dermatitis-prone skin me, it will probably work wonders on you too. As always, I recommend getting samples first, aka their sampler kit, and for a good reason - I found when I was trying to go on with my usual skincare routine and only incorporate one or two Bella Aura things at a time, that's when I found out the products don't necessarily work their best, and they might not mesh well with your exciting products, but used solely on their own they are magic. I was sporting rare outburst of dermatitis on my face just before receiving these products, so I was thinking "oh, great, it will take me more than a week to heal the skin before I could try these products" but on a whim I decided to try them beforehand, and am so glad I did - they healed my dermatitis in just a matter of a couple of days, even they are not meant for that. I continued to use exclusively Bella Aura for six weeks, as I always do before posting my review on the products, and that's when my heart was jumping for joy every day - I had continuous good skin days and almost forgot I had any dermatitis problems. Then curiosity got better of me and I went on to use other products that were patiently waiting for my attention, and guess what? The redness and patchiness came back. Needless to say I ran back to Bella Aura and I want nothing else for the time being. Part of me thinks I've found the ONE and I need to stick to it like glue (any sane sensitive skin person would say that) but another part of me wants to go on trying new green beauty products - I guess that's the blogger in me? We will see how that pans out? Have you tried Bella Aura and what are your thoughts on it?

Next product in this line up is Acure Smooth & Manageable Shampoo. I really wanted to love this, and was hoping it would be a cheaper alternative to my beloved (but pricy) Rahua Voluminous Shampoo (review). It has a cult following in the green beauty community, so naturally I wanted to get my paws on it. Long story short, it didn't work out for me - although it gave me good hair days (think bouncy locks) but it didn't last for more than 1-2 days, and it gave me dandruff. The latter is not a shortfall of the product, 99% of the shampoos give me that - my scalp is that sensitive. I am a lucky gal, I know! The shampoo was finished off by my family and they asked for more. "Amazing" and "I wouldn't know it's natural" was their verdict, meaning it performs just like a regular shampoo. So I guess it is a repurchase. Luckily Love Lula carries a few variations of Acure Organics shampoos, so I might try a different one from the brand to see if it works for me.

Next is Grapefruit Hair Remedy by Alchemy Oils - I got this travel size on a whim last month. I am one of the minority who does not like conditioners (they either weigh my hair down or do absolutely nothing) so hair oils is where it is at for me. I really like this! I have used it as a pre-shampoo treatment mostly, and it is amazing for that. When I use coconut oil, I find it really hard to wash off, but none of it with this oil. It moisturises and nourishes the scalp, but it is not greasy whatsoever. I also use it to smooth my flyaways, it works great this way too. Just remember to use very little of it if using this way.

And last but not least is Ultra Light Organic Moisturiser with SPF 30 by Kimberly Sayer - I really love this in a way that it does not break me out and it does not give me any white cast either. That's a first for me. Admittedly, this is not aimed at my skin type, but I chose this over the one for dry skin for two reasons. First, you get double the amount of product for the same price, and secondly, this one comes in sanitary pump, versus the jar where I would have to scoop the product with the hands. Why there are such a differences for the same product aimed at different skin types, I don't know. I feel there shouldn't be, but at the same time I am not the one who has any say in it. This is my third jar of it, and the only reason I haven't reviewed it separately yet is that I haven't been in the sun & heat for long enough to test it's SPF properties. It's just the last two summers have been brutal here in Ireland (read = cold and rainy) and I haven't been away for the sun holidays in ages. It works great as a city SPF product though. I don't know if this is The One when it comes to sunscreens, or I will end up having a "sunscreen wardrobe" like some of my green beauty blogger friends? They say they like having lots of different sunblock products for different reasons, but truth to be told I would love to find one and only that would work their magic on all levels. I have my eyes firmly on Madara Plant Stem Cell Age Protecting Sunscreen SPF30  - although it is more expensive, they promise not only protect the skin with SPF30, but also shield the skin from environmental pollution and regenerate the skin, as well as enhance the microbiome of the skin - anything that promises to take care of my skin's microbiome gets my attention instantly! I ran an EWG report on it and it came back at 4. Not bad at all, and as I expected, the fragrance mentioned in the INCI list amped up the toxicity score tremendously - one of the flaws of EWG is that it does not differentiate the fragrance from natural essential oils (which I assume is the case with Madara here) and toxic "fragrance" that is a blanket name for up to 200 toxic chemicals in the conventional product - and we all know there's a world of difference in between the two! Let me know if you want me to show you how to build your own product report in EWG, even if it is not listed there? Would be happy to help. The next product on my radar is Alteya Certified Organic Rose Otto Face Suncreen SPF25 - the whole line is calling my name so hard! Can you hear it? No? Just me?
Kidding aside, please let me know what's your favourite natural & preferably organic face SPF product? I would love to hear your recommendations!

That's all for today, lovelies. See you here again real soon. Take care and thanks for reading xo

Love Lula Beauty Box March 2018

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome back! And welcome, if you are new here 💕💕💕

Green Life In Dublin
Love Lula Beauty Box March 2019

How are all of you? I hope you are well? March wasn't the best month for me, with too many doctors appointments, and don't get me started on snow storms in spring! Mother Nature is definitely confused, and it was funny (not) to see how a bit of snow stops the entire countries who aren't used to it. I am still mentally scarred from not being able to buy food or medicine when I needed it (everything around me was closed for a week) and I already told my hubby I will be stocking ALL of my natural medicine cabinet before next winter comes, well before we need it. (normally we get bits and pieces when the need arises) It was also not fun to have 5*C in the living room with TWO heaters on full blast - we were camping in the bedrooms. Beast from the East for sure. I was also heartbroken to see not one but two 50-80 old trees broken.

Err, sorry for getting sidetracked :) My mind is too busy most of the time. Like having 28678 tabs open at all times.

You are here to see what's in this month's Love Lula box, so let's get started, shall we?

Having zero patience, I peeked at Love Lula Natural Beauty Club's spoiler alert post as soon as I saw it, and my heart jumped for joy at seeing some of the content photos posted there. I have been wanting one of the products ever since they launched in Love Lula, and all the others seem pretty exciting too. This box total is not an impressive as some of the previous ones we had value wise, but I like it a lot, because it looks like I will be able to actually use all of the things in it. No Urban Veda or Madara this time, the brands are all new to me, except for Sukin and Laidbare. Overall, I think Love Lula done well this month! Let's jump into the individual products:

Elsa's Natural Deodorant

This is the most exciting thing for me, as I have been wanting to try this for a couple of months now. I got it in Ocean, and I know other people got it in Love,  Dew or Sensitive. My blogger friend Jana from Small Bits of Loveliness seems to like it, so I think that's good for me too! It will be interesting to compare this to my DIY I've been using for years. And it came just in time, as Lavera deodorant I am currently using is not really working out for me. The ingredients seem very good, and I hope this might be just the product for me?

Ingredients: (sensitive)
(all the others have the same ingredients plus scents coming from essential oils)
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Magnesium Oxide, Camellia Oleifera (Camellia Green Tea) Oil, Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder*, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candellila) Wax, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Kaolin Clay, Himalayan Pink Salt, Aloe Barbadensis Cocos Nucifera (Aloe Vera) Butter, Tocopherol (Vitamin E). *Certified Organic

Fom London Hydra Bright Night Complex Treatment

A deluxe sample of this is my first introduction to the brand - they are on my radar and wishlist, I just never seem to get round to them, either something else always comes up, or I don't want to have too many open products at a time. So thank you Love Lula for taking this matter into your hands and sending this my way, lol. This is generous 10ml sample of the product that costs £79 for a full size (50ml), so I definitely appreciate the opportunity to try it! Will be interesting to see how this performs. It promises to remedy dark spots on face, as well as dull & dehydrated skin, uneven skin texture & have

skin brightening effect. Why, yes please! If you happen to have experience with the product, please do let me know?

Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER). BETA-GLUCAN AND ALGIN. ROSA CANINA (ROSEHIP) OIL. GLYCERIN. LACTIC ACID. PANTHENOL. TOCOPHEROL. CARICA PAPAYA FRUIT EXTRACT. VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS (BILBERRY) FRUIT EXTRACT (AND) SACCHARUM OFFICINARUM (SUGAR CANE) EXTRACT (AND) ACER SACCHARUM (SUGAR MAPLE) EXTRACT (AND ) CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) FRUIT. FISCUS CARICA (FIG) EXTRACT. HYDROLYZED SILK PROTEIN. GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LICORICE) EXTRACT. SODIUM HYALURONATE. SALIX NIGRA (WILLOW) BARK EXTRACT. CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF (GREEN TEA) EXTRACT. GINKGO BILOBA LEAF EXTRACT. PANAX GINSENG ROOT EXTRACT. RHODIOLA ROSEA ROOT EXTRACT. PHENOXYETHANOL AND CAPRYLYL GLYCOL. *PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS (GERANIUM) FLOWER OIL. LINALOOL. CITRAL. GERANIOL. LIMONENE.CITRONELLOL. *(NATURALLY OCCURRING IN ESSENTIAL OILS).

Laidbare Guess My Age Anti-aging Treatment Cream

Another full size product, and although I am happy about receiving this, although I must admit it will be put aside until I will finish Bella Aura products I currently use and adore, see my review I posted recently). As with Fom, the ingredients seem great (maybe apart from phenoxyethanol) and I really hope my sensitive skin will like it. It has coconut oil in the ingredients as well, and my skin can either take it or really rebel against it, so we will see how that goes. We have had Working 9 to 5 cream in some recent beauty box, and I currently use it as a hand cream.

Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER) ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) LEAF JUICE GLYCERIN (COCONUT) CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE (COCONUT) GLYCERYL STEARATE (PALM KERNAL) ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE (PALM OIL) CETEARYL ALCOHOL (PALM KERNAL OIL) CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE (SUGAR) MANNITOL (BOTANICAL) CYCLODEXTRIN (YEAST) DISODIUM SUCCINATE (SYNTHETIC) DEHYDROACETIC ACID, BENZYL ALCOHOL (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE) PASSIFLORA INCARNATA (PASSION) FLOWER OIL SQUALANE (OLIVE DERIVED) XANTHAN GUM (NATURALLY DERIVED THICKENER) CITRUS LIMONUM (LEMON) PEEL OIL CITRUS AURANTIFOLIA (LIME) PEEL OIL TOCOPHEROL (NATURAL VITAMINE E) LAMINARIA JAPONICA (JAPANESE SEAWEED) EXTRACT POTASSIUM SORBATE (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE) SODIUM BENZOATE (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE) CITRAL (ESSENTIAL OILS) LIMONENE (ESSENTIAL OILS).

Sukin Purifying Shampoo and  Nourishing Conditioner

Sukin is a brand I am very familiar with, and the one that (surprise surprise) is available locally, but unfortunately I haven't had much luck with their face products, and I have tried about six of them over the years. I have had a thought about trying their shampoo one day, so it's like Love Lula were reading my mind. Excited to see if these will work for me, as I am currently testing a few different shampoos, and not everything is working out well as I'd hoped to. I am so hoping these could replace my beloved Rahua Voluminous Shampoo - I would love to find a budget version of Rahua, basically. (review here if you are interested) Both of these shampoos & conditioners are total bargains, only 7.95£ for 250ml or 9.95£ for 500ml, so I am keeping my fingers crossed here! (in the box we got 50ml of each, so I am guessing that's a deluxe sample size?

Purifying Shampoo ingredients:
Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Equisetum Arvense Extract (Horsetail), Arctium Lappa Extract (Burdock), Urtica Dioica Extract (Nettle), Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Extract, Citric Acid, Linalool,* Limonene.*

Nourishing Conditioner ingredients:
Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium chloride, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil (Rose Hip), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Urtica Dioica Extract (Nettle), Arctium Lappa Extract (Burdock), Equisetum Arvense Extract (Horsetail), Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Extract, Citrus Paradisi Extract (Grapefruit Seed), Linalool,* Limonene.*

Balm Balm Frankincense Light Facial Oil

As an outside of UK customer, this is what you get instead of their newly released Glossworks nail polish shade (sob). As excited as I am about the chance to test it, I have to be honest I will probably use it up in other ways (after trying on my face first, of course) - the thing is most of the facial oils containing frankincense essential oil ended up too strong for my uber sensitive skin, and after learning dermatitis hates oils, I don't use much of them anyway. On the face, that's it. Hair and the body, that's a different story - I can't get enough of them! After working so hard to finish off my facial oils stash I somehow accumulated a collection again, so will have to do Project Pan of some sort. Even though I am a blogger, I don't like to have too many open products at any given time.

So, all in all, I think this is a great box, and a great way to switch your products to clean products without spending a fortune if you are only starting out your green beauty journey. Even if you are advanced in it, it is always fun to discover something new, isn't it? The value of this box is £48 and even though it is not as much as some of the recent boxes we had, I still think it's terrific value, as I will be able to use every single product in the box! I know I still love getting new products, nearly ten years in into my green beauty journey I still get excited getting boxes in the mail. What about you?

Ps. This box came as a part of LLABP programme and the post contains affiliate links - I thank you if you will use them! This is at no additional cost to you as a customer. After working for free for nearly a decade on my blog, I try to introduce non-annoying ways of monetisation in a form of affiliate links. Only to products/brands/online shops I believe in. Opinions are always my own.
